Girls
This poem is for girls that never lose the race, for those who always do.
For girls who get their hearts broken, for those who are abused.
For ones who are forgotten, left out, alone, and scared, ‘cause they don’t realize there is always somebody who cares.
For girls who wish upon a star and then the star is gone.
For those who have no dreams to follow, no star to wish upon.
For girls who don’t know what love is, I pray that they’ll find out.
For those whose voices are never heard, though they yell and shout. For girls who aren’t afraid to stand up for what’s right.
For girls who don’t give up and run without a lasting fight. For girls who have to change themselves to fit in with the crowd.
Does the fact you don’t know who you are still stand to make you proud?
For all the girls in the whole world whether near or far, Next time that you look at yourself be proud of who you are.
