A Life Time Ago

We crashed on the land
Soul in soul, hand in hand
From here I know no other friend nor fiend
From all you do I question what we mean
Morning song, dawn serenade
This is my home, on this arm that I lay
We discussed all things concerning adolescence
Our boundaries, our walls, our house hold fences
We built castles of sand
Awkward tension from our hands
The unsure days of tomorrow
Bring me happiness, bring me sorrow
But keep me from tomorrow
For never have I seen a sunnier shore
Never would I want anything more
Never will the wind make my love quiver
Never will your beauty wither
Our sand castle shall never leave my mind
Sand in my nails has never felt so fine
But now the castle has crumbled to the sea
Alone forever shall I be
For that was a life time ago.
