It was like a childish crush
boyfriend and girlfriend
But I couldn’t think of what to say
Life was more fun when we were just friends
Not being nervous to hug or hold hands.
Or to talk in public
Or to say our names without your friends giggling
But I still loved you

Now we just talk
Talk about how great your new girlfriend is
And how she tells you everything and kisses you in public.
How she simply just loves you

Now I wish the childish love we had was now
I would be your best friend
I would love you more than she can
Because I have known you forever
I know your every feeling like you know mine
It would be perfect and simple
Like a childish crush
