Dancing Queen

It all started on a normal day at a normal school. A girl called Lucy was doing her work when she saw a dancing poster on the wall. Lucy loved dancing. On the way home she asked her mum if she could do it but she said ‘no’. Lucy didn’t know why she wouldn’t let her do dancing. Lucy thought that it would be so much fun, she said to her mum.
‘Mum why can’t I do dancing?’
‘No Lucy”
‘But Dylan plays tennis, but, what, well it’s just that there’s a poster on the wall and I would like to do it.’
‘Lucy it’s too much money.”
‘I’ll pay please!”
“Oh, alright but you are paying for it. When does it start?’
‘The 5th of August’
‘Well that’s tomorrow, we will have to go into town right now.’
‘Ok’ said Lucy. When they were in town they brought some shoes, some clothes and a bag for all of her stuff.
‘Let’s go book these lessons shall we?’
‘Yes.’ said Lucy. It was the first day of Lucy’s dancing class. Lucy learnt heel stamp together jump, step and gallop back front, step and gallop, back step and gallop back front, turn two three skip, turn two three four and turn two three point. Lucy had a brilliant time. Soon she finished learning her dance routine and she had been dancing for a month. Next week it was the competitions. Lucy was very excited because it was her first time dancing on the stage. Her brother, sister, mum, dad and her Grandma and Grandpa were there watching her but something terrible happened! Lucy fell over and sprained her ankle. Her mum said that she couldn’t dance until it was better. Lucy put ice on it to make it feel better but it didn’t get better. Lucy was very sad, she didn’t know what to do. Soon Lucy’s group Strawberry Kisses will be going on but by the look of it she won’t be going on stage with her group. Lucy said ‘Hey Mum I can feel it getting better’,
‘Good, Lucy you can go on stage with your group,’ and you know what? They came first, they were happy.
