A Little Girl (based On My True Life Story)

You see, long long ago..
There was a little girl.
Who's hair was shiny and blonde
And like any other, really loved to twirl

Her parents married,
Everything was going perfectly.
She had a life,
And was loved for eternity.

One day, she awoke hearing the sound
That she normally hears when her daddy is hunting.
Then she herd her Mumma bear screaming,
The little girl rushed out the back and the sight was very confronting.

All of that blood
Coming from her daddy's head,
Was an injury from a bullet,
And clearly now, her daddy is dead.

Her mummy was crying, and screaming
"Please please go back inside"
She could only stand there, scared and hurt,
Her daddy layed there, he committed suicide.

Not even a week has passed,
And it was her daddy's funeral.
She wrote little quotes to him,
She wrote the day of his death, in Roman numerals.

The little girl came back to school,
After weeks and weeks and weeks,
Kids would say "sorry your dad died in a car crash!"
Would only make her sob and weep.

She'd lay in bed late in the evening,
Looking out of her window to the starry starry night,
She'd get tears as she spoke to her daddy,
"Everything is going to be alright"

She'd play brave,
She'd play strong.
But the sadness would come back,
She couldn't stay happy for very long.

Years and years have passed,
And Mumma bear found someone new,
He was such a lovely bloke
Mumma's trust for him grew.

They would skype every night
To make sure they weren't fake,
Because the last thing you wanna do,
Is meet someone and realise it was all a big mistake.

This guy she had met,
Lost his wife and two boys.
In an awful house fire accident
He was left there, family and life destroyed.

Another couple of years have passed,
Mumma, the little girl's bro, and this new man,
Decided to live down South
Where they'd be the crazy clan.

The man is now known as our dad,
Was married to our Mumma,
And eventually had a baby girl,
And her name was Mackenzie Jemma.

The little girl isn't so little anymore,
For she is nearly grown up,
Only in less than four years,
She's 18, her parents think she's nuts.

She is strong yet fragile,
The tears in her eyes,
The pain in her smile,
She keeps going, with full pride.
