Everywhere I look I see faces,
Faces of definite envy,
Faces of dreaming souls,
And faces full of tears waiting for someone to lift their sole.
People also see me,
To be honest, I’m not quite sure what they see.
Do they see a girl holding back tears?
A girl who has nowhere to belong,
Or do they just see me as an ordinary girl with no story to be told.
I guess it doesn’t help that I don’t know myself.
I don’t know where I belong,
I don’t know what my future holds,
I don’t what I am here for.
But it’s the wonder that gets me through each and every day.
