A House - My Home!

A tired house, colours fading.
Her pathway's cracked, her mailbox - waning.
Her family comes home and smiles at her door,
She's had many families but loves each evermore.
She provides them with shelter, and keeps then safe
From the outback nights and the boiling hot days.
Her ageing bricks and green, green grass,
Her story lives for the future, but tells of her past.
She's faced many troubles - the outcome quite stark,
But will always turn on the light, if every you're stuck in the dark.
You may leave, you may forget, you may wonder, and you may roam
But she'll always be there to welcome you home!
