Cage Of Lies

The walls we build to hide ourselves,
Will soon become our cage,
The bars that stem from careless words,
Can the truth alone assuage?
The complex webs we weave will tear,
With one word out of place,
Each mounting lie, tossed through the air,
Can the truth alone efface?
When lies build a cage so unyielding,
Will it crumble under Truth's touch?
Each lie makes the bars ever stronger,
Will the truth alone be enough?
Carefully crafted façacdes
Will one day soon collapse,
But is the truth alone enough?
Perhaps it is, perhaps.
