Bloodied fields where soldiers stand, bloodied with each hand in hand,
Men that can shoot a gun, are forced into World War 1.
Wait for orders to go over enemy borders, riffles at the ready with nerves steady,
Watch them fall, one by one, underneath the dawning sun,
Guns fall silent and the chill becomes quite violent,
Mothers waited, some devastated, uncles, brothers, and a son, helped in the battle that was won,
You saved those men in the fiery battle, carrying them over the ridge on that saddle,
Shot and hurt, but still alert,
The animals ran, but you still can, save them all, and still don’t fall,
The recognition you want is zero, but you are forever my hero,
On Anzac Day I will always say,
Thank you Pammy for being so brave, and being able to save,
Everyone of today, in such a wonderful way,
No one knows what you went through, it would be hard too,
So I say thank you and
Lest we forget.
