Waiting

Waiting

I wait for you but you never come,
Is it guilt that I feel, heart beats like a drum.

Did I push you away, did I do something wrong?
Time drags out, I have waited so long.

I wonder if you think about me, to you do I exist?
Do I still wander in your mind; these thoughts I must resist.

Days turn to weeks, then months to years,
My laughter fades, replaced by tears.

Memories of you flash right before my eyes,
I thought you were so perfect, but it just was a disguise.
