Wait for me.
I know you look forward to moving ahead,
To moving past this place of dread,
Where only sad memories fill your head,
But wait for me.

I know we can never be same as before,
Once we walked through it Life closed that door,
But still I know we’ll find so much more:
Please wait for me.

What once was present but now is past:
We should have known it would not last,
But what’s to come is immeasurably vast,
And together we will stand steadfast
Through joy and pain unsurpassed,
‘Till down the burden of sorrow we cast.
If you’ll only wait for me.
