As the land weeps bitter and, icy tears,
Despair and sorrow feasting at its core,
Overwhelmed by deathly sadness and fear
‘Tis that moment she knocks upon the door.
And blows a breath of warmth, beauty and bliss
A breeze that promises joy and rapture,
That melts the biting cold with a soft kiss.
And what happens next, one cannot capture-
How the frozen turns to fresh flowing streams,
And vibrant flowers sprout from its lush shore,
Twisting their heads, smiling at the sun’s beams.
The trees’ green leaves rustle and the birds soar
Across the blue skies together they sing
Thanks and praises for a season called spring.
