The Big Trip

“Look what I got!” exclaimed Bill, running through the door into the kitchen.
“What now?” said Jerry.
“I won a trip to Hawaii for two,” said Bill.
“Yeah whatever,” yawned Jerry.
“So let’s go,” said Bill.
“Oh ok,” said Jerry pulling out a box from under the couch.
“What is that?” said Bill.
“It’s a box,” said Jerry.
The box had a telescope, a journal, stanley knife and some matches.
“It has what we need to survive in the wild,” said Jerry.
“Wow!” said Bill, “Just wow!”
“Yay we made it,” said Bill.
“Yeah but we only have ten minutes before the plane leaves,” said Jerry.
The ticket lady was very slow, slower than a snail.
“Do you want your tickets?” she said very very very slowly.
Finally they got on the plane.
“I'm going to watch the movie,” said Bill.
“And I'm going to read my book,” said Jerry.
“The book of Carrots?” asked Bill.
“Yes it’s very interesting,” claimed Jerry.
“Right,” said Bill.
A few hours later, the plane started to rumble and shake.
“What was that?” said Bill.
“Just turbulence,” said Jerry.
“But the engines have stopped,” said Jerry.
“Oh, oh, oh, no,” whimpered Jerry.
“Were going down!” they both yelled.
A few hours later, Bill woke up. Jerry was already awake and dragging their luggage out of the burning plane. The sun was shining bright, very hot and balmy.
“What happened?” whimpered Bill.
“The plane crashed,” said Jerry.
“Let’s find some fresh water,” said Jerry.
“OK,” agreed Bill.
Sometime later... “My legs hurt,” whimpered Bill.
“Just a little bit longer,” promised Jerry.
Then something was sparkling in the distance.
“Run!” said Jerry.
“What?” said Bill.
“Just run!” yelled Jerry.
When they got there, Jerry said, “See a pond and a temple.”
“A temple, what a temple!” exclaimed Jerry.
Bill was already climbing on it.
“Be careful,” warned Jerry.
The temple had vines on it that had pulled the stones away from the entrance.
“This must be at least 1000 years old,” said Jerry. He looked away for one moment and the next Bill was gone!
“Help!” yelled Bill.
“Where are you?” said Jerry.
“I'm down here,” yelled Bill.
“Okay I am coming dowwwn!” Jerry said heroically.
Inside the temple, it was dark, very dark.
“I know you can make a torch,” Bill said excitedly.
“I know that,” Jerry said.
So Jerry made the torch and they could see again. There was an ancient language written on the walls.
“This is amazing,” said Jerry.
After a while, they could see light at the end of the tunnel.
“Hey, I can see light, look,” said Bill.
“Oh yeah, I can see it too,” said Jerry, “Quick let’s run.” So they ran until they reached the end of the tunnel.
“What?” said Bill as they looked upon the beach resort they had been travelling too.
“So we had been on the island that we were travelling to the whole time?” said Jerry.
“Yup,” said Bill. The end
