They are the Spirit of Australia.
They lined up ready to fight
They hopped in a boat and sailed through the night,
Their ordinary life placed aside
To show their true blue Aussie pride,
They were determined and brave
And Australia, they tried to save,
They changed the face of battle forever
Lest we forget, we shall never.
Scars that never healed
Because of an emotional shield,
Even with our hearts in holes
We will remember their gracious souls,
Their memories now in gracious keeping,
Leave we here thy heroes sleeping.
They are the Spirit of Australia.
