A long time ago in a magical floating forest lived a small girl named Bailey. She lived with her dad on a small farm and loved to ride her horse May through the village. One day while riding, Bailey heard a noise. “Tweet I need your help.” She thought she was dreaming but then she heard it again, “Tweet, excuse me I need your help.” Bailey looked up and saw an amazingly large tree.
After careful inspection Bailey realised the beautiful branches had sugar plums growing off them. On one of the plums was this amazing little blue bird. As she listened closer to the bird she could what it said, “Tweet, I need your help.” She blinked to see if this was actually true and the tree was gone, she then blinked again and the tree was there. Bailey thought to herself, ‘What is happening, am I imagining things?’ She whispered, “What is your name?” The bird replied, “My name is Daffodil and yes I am in your imagination. I need your help, I have lost the key of imagination and without it, all imagination will be lost.” “We will find it!” replied Bailey in excitement.
Bailey asked, “Where is this magical key and how do we find it?”
“You will have to go to the end of the forest until you hear a wonderful choir of singing birds. They are the birds that Mr Long stole. He is very powerful but we must get the key by midnight.”
Bailey and Daffodil jumped straight back onto May riding madly through the forest. As it got late, she decided to walk back home. “There is no use,” said Bailey, “We will never find them in time.” Then Daffodil had an idea. “What if I sing and see if they respond?” “Good idea Daffodil, it’s worth a try.” Daffodil sung as loud as she ever had before. They listened closely and all of a sudden heard the most faintest tweet. As they walked toward the sound they heard it again, even louder and this time there was more than just one bird. As Bailey and Daffodil ran through all of the trees and bushes ,they finally saw a whole flock of birds, all different sizes and colours. Then they heard a loud ‘STOMP... STOMP,’ which shook the ground. Daffodil and Bailey fell to the ground and turned around to find... MR LONG. Mr Long wasn’t just a man he was A....GIANT.
“What are you doing here?” shouted Mr Long. “Ummm we just came to visit all of the lovely b-b-b-b.” “BIRDS,” interrupted Mr Long in a mad tone. Mr Long yawned, which meant he started getting sleepy. “Perfect,” said Daffodil, “Now we have time to get the key.” They waited until he was asleep then they quietly looked everywhere. As Daffodil turned around, she spotted the key on Mr Long’s pants. “Bailey, Bailey,” Daffodil whispered, “I found the key.” As Bailey saw the key, she was even more determined to get it. Daffodil couldn’t reach it. “Bailey, I need your help,” Daffodil whispered very quietly. Bailey reached for the key and she was so close when Mr Long WOKE UP, VERY MAD!
