Mum, I’m sick I bellowed trying to sound convincing I know you should never pretend to be sick but I need to be away for school photos, those people creep me out! All they say is “Say cheese” and every one automatically smiles! It’s like their brain washing everyone.
“What’s hurting Gorgia,” Mum questioned suspiciously.
I started to panic “Um…my tummy,” I quickly muttered.
“Would you like to stay home to rest sweetie?” She asked kindly.
“Yes!” I practically squealed.
“Well, I need to go to work, so you’ll have to stay home by yourself.”
“Okay Mum, bye,” I quickly shoved her out.
As the day went by I became super relieved. I felt a huge weight lift of my shoulders. When I went to bed I was happy as ever. But when morning finally came I was so excited for school, I could hardly control myself. I walked in to my class room and saw my best friend Mannie.
“How were the school photos, to bad I missed them?” I said trying to sound sad. But I got the worst answer ever.
“What, there today silly!”
Oh-no!
