Excellence Award in the 'Spread The Word 2017' competition
compacting roads ambling miles entangled
between buildings, winding and swerving with burden to
kill the authenticity of life. in
replacement, a mechanical purr, hums
engulfing the harmonies of word
and song.
martians plod incoherent.
routine engrossing them, stamping,
on the escaped flame of spontaneity,
afraid.
artificial trees tirelessly sway in toxic
obscurity, heaving
through corrupted lungs,
exhibited to ignorance and neglect
rivers tumble
topple, carrying perspiration.
carrying time.
(time, dissolved by Nothing in parallel to the dying Earth)
