The spirit of ANZAC continues to blaze in our lives
A memorable sacrifice that resonates in our hearts and our minds
Of an unforgiving battle that claimed our loved ones
That saw us lose our beloved fathers and sons
The devastating losses engraved in our history
Rings with the symbolism of comradery and bravery
Of our Australian soldiers who fought with such gallantry
That did our nation proud and saw us an honoured country
However we must never forget those who have fallen
The brave men who from our families have been stolen
Of those who were doomed to die in foreign ground
Never again to be seen from or found
Therefore every year we must never neglect
To commemorate those who gave their lives to protect
Our nation and people from the War’s looming threat
Lest we overlook, lest we forever forget
