A Lonesome Beach.
A lonely tree on a distant shore
Looks more lonesome than ever before.
The sand so bare, washed and brave,
Seems to be waiting for the next big wave.
The birds flying high on a cloudy day
Seems to be trying to take cares away.
Weeds waving wildly in a very rough sea-
Are they calling and waving to me?
The sand hills stand out, so naked and bright,
With tuffs of grass, held up like birds in flight.
The sound of waves crashing near,
Only awakes my lonely fear.
