A leaf falls swiftly down,
Silently, without a noise,
Like the hopes and dreams of many,
A leaf falls swiftly down,

A leaf falls swiftly down,
Gale force winds are here,
It’s every leaf for itself,
A leaf falls swiftly down,

Like a dream, a leaf has hardships,
Winds try to blow them down,
They clutch on for their lives,
A leaf falls swiftly down,

We all have hopes or dreams,
And some of us succeed,
But some turn into compost,
A leaf falls swiftly down.
