O! but for another day with thee -
I would bleed my heart to dust;
At once forgather my soul's debris
And it into Hell's flames thrust
To feel honeyed sun upon my face
While lost within thine arms
I'd dance with Hell beasts; fall from grace -
Foreswear all o' Heav'ns charms
For the blackest night could ne'er haunt me
Like the light behind your eyes;
Nor anything e'er taunt me
Like the embrace our severance denies
I'll bear eternities of bloody brutality:
O! but for another day with thee
