Waiting

He sits by the gate,
Looking for his Grandma,
She again is late.

He looks at every car,
As it goes by but doesn't stop,
Where, oh where is Grandma and Pop.

Do they ever know,
How this little boy,
Is so much more than someone who only, plays with a toy.

He thinks, he feels, he sees,
And he cries,
Why can't they just be once on time?

All day can pass,
And he still just waits,
Sitting patiently by the front gate.
