A beautiful country
With land trees and flowers
Little did the Aborigines Know
They were in their final hours.
As the white sails came in
The faces pale as sand
They had guns and weapons
Held by every man.
As they came ashore
Their heads held high
The Aborigines were stunned
They met eye to eye.
The captain stood proud and tall
He was first in line
He looked at the aborigines
Covered with grease
and slime.
As the captain was looking
On this very day
He thought to himself
What would the children be learning
We have to take them away.
As the children screamed
As the parents cried
They drove off
The parents ran after, they tripped
That’s were the lied.
Many years on
After they lost their children
Many went out
Just like a mob of pilgrims.
As life went on
Many children lost their lives
As most fathers left
Just leaving their wives.
As I come to my conclusion
Many still in worry
As Mr. Rudd said earlier this year
WE ARE SORRY.
