Yellow Moon

The night sky was a clear, dark blue. Stars twinkled above it, like diamonds. The white moon hidden by white clouds, it's glare shining bellow. The seas shadow was a beautiful yellow pattern. Alexa Primerella saw this. She was on a holiday with her friends and family, on a luxury cruise ship. Alexa, on the balcony, the cool breeze pushing towards her face. She saw glimpses of beautiful dolphins, and sometimes a spray of a whale. Suddenly, Alexa heard a call; "Alexa! Come in! It's sleep time!" Walking in, she fell on her pillow, and fell straight asleep.

Alexa woke up, which she estimated was 1:00 in the morning. She lay awake, finding it hard to go back to sleep. Alexa, however, opened the gold sliding door, and looked outside. The sea, calm and flat, and the moon still shining. But, however, the moon was yellow. Alexa squinted her eyes, in case she was dreaming. She had to tell her mother. But how? She had to go to sleep - quick. She hit the pillow and closed her eyes, sleeping soundly.

"Alexa! Wake up!" her mother shouts. Alexa's eyes, bloodshot, stood up off her bed, tired. "It's 7:30! We're late for breakfast! Quick, get up!" Alexa stood up, picked up her favourite jeans and top, put it on, and left.

"Mother" Alexa says, eating her pancakes. "Yes, darling" her mother responds, quickly. "Last night, I saw something really odd. The moon was yellow, not white." Alexa says, hoping for a good response. However, Alexa's mother didn't respond, she was in a deep conversation with Alexa's friends mother, Ruby. "Mum? Mum?!" Alexa says again, getting hugely frustrated with her mum. "Not now, darling." she responds. Alexa walks away, to get more milk, and starts getting red like a beetroot.

"Mum! Dad! Can't you see?! The moon's blue! Look!" Alexa shouts, impatiently to her parents. "She's right!, Marian!" Alexa's dad says, very amazed. "Hmm.. This is really odd. Shall we call up the Captain?" Alexa's mother said, much more amazed than her husband. They all nodded. This was super odd, however, could it be a sign?
