A Legacy Untold

There is a man in the grandstand
Sitting all alone
What is your story?
Why are you alone?
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
My story starts off here
Would you like to know where it goes?
Yes I would
Where does your story go?
Is there a woman?
Did you love her so?
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
There is a woman
Whom I met in this spot
I fell in love in a heartbeat
And then my face grew hot
So what happened
My good man
Did she love you back?
Did she fill the gap?
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
The woman loved me back
But I was undeserving
Of such a beauty
That was full and curving
Old man
Tired and frail
Tell me
Tell me did she bail?
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
No she did not
She asked me to dinner
Which in-turn
Made me a winner
Old man
What happened
To that woman
Were you abandoned
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
Well my friend
I married her
And then she left our world
Living was a lie
Live forever
And die old
Make a legacy
Then pass it on
Listen to my story
And soon you’ll know
So there it is
A legacy now told
Of a love between
A worthy couple
That we now will hold
