A Long Lesson

School can be fun
At lunch time breaks
But Religion at one
Is all that it takes

The clock's endless ticking
The noises outside
A teacher's nit-picking
As we're stuck inside

He draws on the board
He talks all day long
We all get so bored
As the day carries on

The bell finally rings
The student's all cheer
We pack up our things
Thinking we're in the clear

But he calls us all back
To a chorus of groans
Saying manners we lack
As all of us moan

The children all pass
And all look inside
They stare in and laugh
While walking outside

Another head slumps
Another one falls
It lands with a thump
Against one of the walls

He yells at the person
Who opened the door
Down sinks the sun
As the clock strikes four.
