Vaati's Transformation

Vaati sat down and did not move. He was thinking about Rose too much again. He missed her even though she would return to the ship at night fall. “Vaati, what you doing?” said a voice from behind him. “Oh, hello Mislena” he said as a girl with short brown hair walked toward him.

“What is wrong?” she asked him as he gave a sigh. “Rose has not yet returned from her trip into the woods to gather some berries. I’m beginning to grow worried at her” he said as Mislena sat down with him. “She will be okay. She knows the woods well and will not get lost very easily” she said as she moved closer to him. “What are you doing?” he asked as Mislena moved closer to his lips.

Softly but quickly, she kissed him. Vaati tried to move away from her but she keep her lips locked on his. Vaati’s eyes closed as she continued. Minutes later, she broke apart from him and his soft lips. “Why did you do that?” he asked as she began to walk away from him. “Because I like you, Vaati. And I don’t mean as friends” she said as she walked down stairs into the kitchen and the bedrooms.

Later on that night when Rose had returned, Vaati told her what happened. How Mislena had kissed him and how she had told him her true feelings toward him. When he was finished, Rose looked shocked. After ten silent seconds, she spoke. “Did she say that she loved you or liked you?” said Rose as Vaati sat down beside her and took her shoulder softly. This was going to take a while.

Meanwhile in the lost woods, Mislena walked around looking for any berries that Rose missed. When moved into the bushes, she saw that a man was standing at a small pool of water, looking at the deep black sky. “Are you alright?” she asked him as he looked at her. She gasped when she saw his eyes. There were a deep red and his hair was sliver just like the moon above. The man walked toward her and gently touched her cheek softly.

“I am now that a beautiful women like yourself is here” he said as Mislena blushed. She had never heard anyone say nice things to her. “What is your name?” the man asked as she looked back up at him, smiling.

“Mislena” she said as he hugged her tightly to him. “The name suits you” he said he moved closer to her neck. “Wait, please” she whispered to him as she looked back up at him. As she did, she saw that he had fangs. She gasped and tired to move away from him, but he held her tightly to him.

“Let me go!” she screamed as he put one of his hands on her forehead. Ten seconds later, she was fast asleep. Moving down to her, he licked it than bit on it hard. Blood ran down her neck and fell onto the floor. She become pale as he continued to drink her life force.

Ten weeks later...........

Mislena walked toward the ship again, smiling evilly as she saw Vaati walking around the boat, taking the night watch. “Vaati” she whispered to him as he slowly turned to look at her. “Mislena, your alive!” said Vaati smiling as Mislena stopped in front of him, giving him an evil smile.

Vaati took a step back from her. He did not like the way that this was going. Mislena smiled and grabbed his arms tightly. Vaati tired to move away from her, but she was too strong. “Look at me, Vaati” she said as Vaati opened his eyes to look at her.

Suddenly, he felt dizzy and sleepily. It was like he was in a trance. His eyes slowly closed as Mislena grabbed his hair tightly. Pulling his head back, she looked down at his neck. She licked it and an bit down hard on it. Vaati’s eyes opened quickly and he gasped with the pain from her bite. “Mislena!” he said weakly as she continued to drink his life force slowly. Vaati cried out in pain as the blood rushed out of him.

His arm fell as he began to feel too weak. ‘Is this really the end?’ he thought as she continued to drink his blood. The man that Mislena had meet at the ten weeks ago, walked toward her and took her shoulder softly. “That is enough, my child” he said as she removed her fangs from Vaati’s neck. She dropped Vaati on the ground where he laid there, breathing heavily.

“Should we turn him?” she asked her master as he kneed down beside Vaati. “Do you want to live, my child?” he asked Vaati as he opened his eyes to look at him. “I.....want to.........live” he said weakly as Mislena stood over them, watching. “Do you want to live forever?” the man asked Vaati as Vaati’s eyes closed from his weakness.

“I.......want.......to live..........forever” he said as Mislena and the man smiled evilly at him. Suddenly, like a shucking snake, they both bit hard on his neck. Vaati cried out on pain as blood poured from the wounds in his throat. Than when they were done feeding on his blood, the man bit his arm.

The blood poured from the wound into Vaati’s mouth and he began to drink it slowly. His heart suddenly began to beat fast as the blood continued to pour into his mouth. He tried to pull arm away but the man put the arm into his mouth.

Vaati groaned in pain as his teeth began to grow longer into fangs as he began to change. The man pulled his arm away from Vaati as his eyes turned from baby blue into a bright gold. Seconds later, Vaati sat up and looked around the deck. The man and Mislena were gone. They were nowhere in sight. Getting up from the deck he moved toward Rose’s room.

Suddenly, his heart began to beat fast in his chest. He clutched his chest and fell to the ground in pain. He was so weak. It was like he was starving. He had truly and really become a vampire.
