My Home Country Australia

My Home Country Australia
I've walked her for many years, watching corridors of time pass by.

I love her freedom i love her terror,
this is My Home Country Australia.

In Winter i like the numb feeling running through my veins,

I listen to her roaring screams and her fists drumming on my roof.

In spring i watch her newborn children awaken to the big wide world,

I melt into the green grass watching the clouds float by..reflecting on the water.

In Autumn leaves are dancing and laughing in the wind,

Trees stand silent as they are stripped naked.

In summer the red lands are sunburnt crying in pain,

In the sun i feel her warmth sleeping on my skin.

I feel her burning breath licking at my feet,

Every night i gaze at the midnight sky listening to the stars telling their magical stories.

And i think to myself..i've seen her beauty and her terror,

But still, i call her home...
