Brittany Gaiser Wins The Haiku Competition!

Congratulations to the Brittany Gaiser, winner of the newsletter haiku competition! We received over 300 entries into the competition and the poems were wonderful. Some were funny, some were sad, and some were hauntingly beautiful. The one thing that they all had in common was that they were all very well written. The editors at Write4fun had a difficult time determining the winner, but in the end it was decided that Brittany's haiku was the winner. Here is her beautiful poem:The dark starry skyFlickers of light on my pathMirrored in my eyesIt was a difficult decision as the editors narrowed the entries down to the top four. The entries that gave Brittany a run for her money were:Second place - Hal Crichton-Standish:A dappled silenceRings of water gliding outLost tranquilityThird place - James Walker:Slinking in darknessWith the eyes of a hunterUnwary bewareFourth place - Christian Familiar:It's a way of lifeA form of self-expressionArt is my escapeThank you to everyone who took the time to create and send in the haikus. And congratulations to Brittany, Hal, James, and Christian!A new competition will be here soon. We can't wait to see what you submit next!
