The high quality of the entries made the judging extremely difficult. But, after much consideration the winners are...First place - 'The Battle Of Sunset' by Joanna Holland, a vivid poem detailing the daily, and nightly, battle for control of the sky.Second place - 'Darwin, 2 May 1943' by Dominique Atley, a wrenching short story about the attack of the Japanese in Darwin from the point of view of a young girl.Third place - 'I Sat And Watched' by Kate Alexander, a quiet and considering poem on the changing view of the author's world.The winning entries, and the finalists, can be read on the Write4fun website now.
