A Change Of Scene

This started off a blank page,
Free from love, pain and rage.
Life started of just as clean,
But then there was a love scene – an adult theme.
There were drug references and racial differences,
Coarse language, pain and anguish.
Then it stopped. Then it started.
People changed – lovers parted.
Now we sit here in denial.
Hold grudges,
Put lives on trial.
Is this fiction or is this fact?
Does it matter if our lives are intact?
I don’t know, I couldn’t tell you that.
Let me go.
Set me free.
