The cold, quiet darkness
calms my soul of rage.
Emotions in my book of life, with anger on every page.

The darkness calms my mind and soul
and puts my heart at rest.
Tranquility the darkness brings,
enters like a welcomed guest.

The Darkness helps my eyes to close
and restful sleep it brings.
To cease the troubles of my life
and replace them with blissful things.

The darkness shows my mind its dreams.
Dreams that make my heart sing.
The darkness that so many fear,
is not such a scary thing.
