A white and black bouquet
Perfect as a string of pearls
Like ivory against ebony on the piano
It is placed in her once dainty hands
Diamond white silky gloves
Delicate as the flush on a rose
Like the slender thread a spider spins
They cover her fragile extremities
Black Onyx stone ornaments
Priceless as the moments in time
Like the stagnant inky pool of the sky
They are taken to her kin
A charcoal black lacey gown
Sombre as the ocean depths
Like her sister’s lifeless vision
It guards her lifeless body.
