Keeping up to speed like darts, flying through with the ace of hearts,
This feeling of alienation will not resolve, the world a competition, does not evolve.
Selfish souls just take, they fake, from everything from nails to make-
Up in the sky, they need to remember, back down on earth, everyone a member.
Socialising every night seems a blur, many drugs and drinking all in the spur…
Of the moment, teenagers don’t stop, parents thinking they’ve lost the plot.
Emptiness filled with a friends presence, MSN disallowing a real sentence.
Soon you’ll forget what you did before, your hobbies unplugged, just watching a score.
Foxtel, computers and mobile phones, Communication distorted, few broken bones,
From pointless fights at parties, no need, Guys in the clouds, on ecstasy and speed.
When exactly did this all start? Un-noticed, rewind, where was my part?
In this world of such indecency, I think I might have lost my frequency.
