War, a thing of hell
A place of death
As a lone church bell
Signifies a final breath
The wailing of an air raid siren
Bombs fall in a waterfall of hot iron
The air steadily heats
Echoes through battered streets
As the rest of the world stands and stares
Terrified citizens offer up prayers
As one civilisation
Grinds against another
In a war that encompasses a whole generation
Father on father, brother on brother
