WAR POEM
Terror, anguish, sorrow and despair
Are the emotions felt at war
Bullets fly around, people falling to the ground, children crying out mercy
The intensity, fierceness and ferocity of war
Carnage and destruction
Are the least of people’s wonders
With bullets burying deep into their chests
Blood splattered around, limp bodies fall to the ground
Vengeance is running high
With leaders dying and ammunition running low
Soldier’s hearts are slumping to the ground
Thoughts of loss are becoming more frequent
These are the tragic effects of war
