God Is Protection

In the valley of the darkness
In the shadow of the night
There stands a man with glowing eyes
Who's bound to give you one big fright

As he looks around the corner
As you're walking while you weep
And the light that's right above you
Goes out so darkly deep

As he waits for you to come
Through this dark and stormy street
He starts coming 'round the corner
For his glorious defeat

You can see him right in front of you
You cannot run away
You're still with fear, you're still with fright
So you close your eyes and pray

And then you feel a comfort
Like a friend right by your side
It's Jesus who protects you
The villins will run to hide

Jesus is the one
Who protects you all the way
You might feel endangered, frightened
Or even scared away

The villin ran as fast as he could
He turned to look right back
He could see in the distance
Just standing in the black

Jesus did protect you
He will listen to your prayer
If you ever feel alone
You soon will be a pair.
