Finalist in the 'Something With Bite 2010' competition

The wind is blowing in the trees,
It whistles gently in the breeze.

The sun's first rays light up the forest floor,
The birds sing lovely songs as through the skies they soar.

The trees rise up to enjoy the morning sun,
They think the day is going to be fun.

Suddenly a fire strikes, the animals run away,
Their lives are now filled with loneliness and dismay.

But one of the trees calmly blows,
And finally the fire goes.

The animals are grateful to return to their home,
Then again, they are free to roam.

The wind sings a song of kindness and love,
And the song reaches all the way to the heavens above.
