As I sit and watch the sunset
behind a grand sillouhette.
Seagulls glide above me.
A scene i'll never forget.
Taxis zip through green
as business people bark.
Towers scrape the sky.
Bells chime in Hyde Park
Children swallow fairy floss,
and bumper cars collide.
The Ferris wheel winks at me.
Its a giant of a ride.
The iconic Harbour Bridge,
and the Sydney Opera House.
The sea bed sits beneath
as quiet as a mouse.
Central Station floods
as tourists flick through trains.
The blinding light of China Town
and Darling Harbour's Fame.
The rat race has now just begun
like a burning cigarette.
This city never falls asleep
sunrise to sunset.
