i hear them gaining ground
you won’t let them win
you’ve been fighting all this time
letting no-one in.
you will reach the finnish line
you just have to know
who is worth the time
and who needs to go.
you’ve let them win before
they have cut you deep,
they’ve forced you to places,
many have never been.
just don’t close the curtain,
you can see the light,
things are getting brighter,
happiness in sight.
when people try to take you down,
you won’t let them win,
when people try to help you,
you now let them in.
