I’m fragile so please handle me with care
I’ve come a long way, just to be with you
I know I’m late but I’m not always on time
So I’ll chose my words with care

Maybe I’m a picture frame
To hold your friends when you’re blue
Maybe I’m a golden coin
To buy you a present or two

Maybe I’m a puppy with little brown eyes
That’ll melt you all the way through
Maybe I’m a pair of earrings
That glitter in the light, crystal blue

But maybe......just maybe
I’m not supposed to be any of those things
Maybe I’m just supposed to be
A simple apology, just for you
