Footsteps on the pavement;
Like the steady fall of rain
The sound and rhythm frees me
From all my thoughts and pain
Souls within a city
Pooled together by this place
Combining to form a medley
I’m just a nameless face
To some it can be deadly;
Being sorrounded but alone
For they don’t see the beauty
Of life framed by stone
We all have our duties
To perform every day
If you stop to watch them
You’ll see it all my way
