I know I don’t normally pray
And I'm not sure if you’re really there,
But i'm hoping you aren’t just a fake
I wish that you’ll answer my prayer.
For so long I’ve been too lonely
And longing for a life that I wish I had,
Please lift me up from the cold ground
Because I can’t take being sad.
The earth hasn’t got long left to live
Lord if you could help please do so,
If you had one wish what would it be
To give the starving food and let rivers flow.
It’s not all about me anymore
It’s about everyone upon this dying earth,
For every life thrust upon this mess
Could there be sadness in birth.
Its getting hard to breathe now
I can’t see through the air,
Water turns to dust in our mouths
How is it you don’t care.
What good is this world now it’s destroyed
I need your help this night,
Lord I know you get many prayers
But I'm scared we’ll have no light.
Animals are fading into darkness
How can hunters be so mean,
Lord I'm sorry for what has become
But we need to make this world clean.
And as I look through the pages of my life
When I walk back along the dusty road,
I see all who were at fault and who didn’t help
Those who will let this world implode.
