Ode To You Liars

O, ye who filled my heart half full with faith,
Like a hungry stomach is filled when it begs for food,
I return from all those years ago, to tell you -

In the dusk of my childhood,
I find my heart half empty.

The world you painted for me used false colours, artificial ingredients
Until the rain washed them away
And showed me the harsh, cob-web ridden canvas that is my life.

There is no book, movie or song, that can teach emotion.
There is no professor, no teacher, like self experience.
Your words have been lost on me.

O, you liars -
Are you just blind or ignorant?
Why do you carry on, when you have so little?

You are no different.
We are all cursed from the day we are born.

There is no hope here.
