A Child's Winter

I see the frosty snowman,
His woolly gloves and hat,
The dew drops and the ice,
The dark clouds turning black.

I wrap the blankets around me,
Cocooned by the many layers,
The blast of warmth surrounds me, Outside there's the snowball players.

The icicles glisten on my window,
The snowballs making them crack,
I hear the running water.
It's going pit,pit,pat.

The fire is crackling loudly.
The hot chocolate - tempting and bubbly.
The hot water bottle is warm,
Steaming on my tummy.
