Prelude.
What is it to live?,
to enjoy life.
Are we our own beings?,
or pawns to some greater force.
Why are we here?,
what is our purpose?
Is there a common goal?,
that all humans strive to achieve?
So many questions.
So few answers.
Void.
Nothingess, a seemingly eternal Void.
It stands between us and the answers,
the answers we so desperately seek.
Philosophers are the Bridges
that connect one end of the Void,
to the other.
It is ever so frail though,
few attempt to cross the Bridge.
Of these, even fewer succeed.
Most will just fall through the Bridge,
straight through, into the abyss.
Worse yet, some jump off.
Keep walking.
Keep going.
Don't jump.
Into the eternal nothingness of the Void.
