Across the ocean waves,
I see beauty beyond my wildest dreams.
I close my eyes and feel the breeze across my youthful face,
The presence in a moment’s grace.
While I lay upon this shore,
Listening to the ocean roar.
I dream of distant chances,
Future romances, gifts, tears and childish fears.
My ears in tune with the seagull’s cries,
The magic music as they swoop on by.
I am but a teen with hopes and dreams.
But sometimes I want to scream.
For now I shall lay upon this golden shore,
And live my life without a care.
Holding on to this space in time,
And pretending that it is only mine.
