The medic bent down to examine me,
He asked me what was wrong,
I could see that he,
Was kind and brave and strong.
Just a short time ago,
I was walking with my mate,
Until we were ambushed
Now what is my fate?
My life flashed before me,
I saw my children and wife,
They were smiling at me,
From our perfect life.
I wonder if my life,
Will ever be the same.
If I’ll ever get back home,
The enemy is to blame!
