I Am A Pen

I am a pen
I wonder if i'm going to be used today
I hear a screaming teacher
I see all the children around me
I want to be in my pencil case

I pretend the ink runs out
I feel scared because I might be thrown in the bin
I touch the rubber beside me
I worry if I make a mistake
I cry when my ink is empty

I understand that I will be thrown it the bin
I say be careful
I dream about my future
I try not to make a mistake
I hope I can be used forever
I am a pen
