Pain From Within

As she sits alone, in her dark room
a full silver moon as her only light
No sound except the howling of the wind sneaking through the Broken glass window
A million thoughts of pain rushing through her mind
Tears of hurt streaming down her face
Her friends from her past have become foes of her future
The people she once loved turning their backs on what used to be
Her only friend a childhood bear
All torn, scruffy and stained
Sharing each night asleep on the wooden floor
Her only warmth a tiny blanket covered in holes
She’s all alone with no one to keep her safe
People come and go day by day
But no one ever stays to hold her when she needs it most
Where can she run to hide from this pain
Will anyone come for her and pull her from the empty world in-which she is trapped.
